Mercer’s Tee Mitchell named Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer University senior running back Tee Mitchell is the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week after his performance in the Bears’ game at VMI Saturday.

Mitchell set career highs with 25 carries and three rushing touchdowns, racking up 129 rushing yards in the Bears’ 48-38 win.

He leads the SoCon in rushing yards and has run for more than 100 yards in three of the Bears’ five games this season.

Mercer (3-2, 2-1 SoCon) is off this weekend.

The Bears return to action Saturday, October 13 at Yale.
