GEORGIA (41NBC/WMGT) – GHSE, LLC is recalling approximately 738 pounds of ready-to-eat salad. The salad contain meat products that contain a corn ingredient that may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled product includes the 15.25-oz. clear plastic clam-shell packages containing “Marketside™ FIESTA SALAD WITH STEAK.”
They have a use by date from 10/17/2018 through 10/20/2018.
These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause salmonellosis, one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses.
The most common symptoms of salmonellosis are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product.
The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Most people recover without treatment.
