Three Macon Businesses Involved In Armed Robberies

MACON, Ga – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three armed robberies that happened in Macon over the weekend.

Splash and Dash Armed Robbery

Deputies say the first one happened at the Splash and Dash Laundromat at 2081 Pionono Avenue just before 11 Sunday morning.

Deputies say two masked men with handguns entered the laundromat and demanded money. One of the men received an undisclosed amount of cash and the two men ran. No one was injured during the robbery.

Deputies say one of the men was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and gloves. The other was wearing a black hat, black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt under the jacket, light colored jeans and white tennis shoes.

Emery Highway Family Dollar Armed Robbery

A second armed robbery happened at the Family Dollar at 160 Emery Highway. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies say two men carrying guns and wearing black hoodies entered the store. They demanded cash from the registers. One the men received an undisclosed amount of cash and they both ran. No one was hurt during the robbery.

One of the men had a shotgun and was wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and white tennis shoes.

The other man had a handgun and was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants with white stripes on the side and black tennis shoes.

Houston Avenue Family Dollar Armed Robbery

A third armed robbery happened at the Family Dollar at 2529 Houston Avenue. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just before 10 Sunday night.

Deputies say two men with handguns entered the store and demanded cash from the register. One of the men received an undisclosed amount of cash and both men ran, heading north on Houston Avenue. No one was hurt during the robbery.

One of the men had a red bandana covering his face, he was wearing a black hoodie, black colored pants and carried a black book bag.

The other man was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and carried a black book bag.
