Stacey Abrams set to return to Macon Friday

Democratic candidate for governor Stacey Abrams is planning a return visit to Macon.

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – Democratic candidate for governor Stacey Abrams is planning a return visit to Macon.

Her Early Voting Bus Tour will roll into town around 10:15 Friday morning.

She is scheduled to be at the Westgate Shopping Center parking lot on Pio Nono Avenue until 11:15am.

U.S. Representative John Lewis and local leaders will be traveling with her.

She also worked as a general assignment reporter, receiving several honors for her investigative and consumer reporting. Shelby has spent time working as a news anchor/reporter in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Macon, Georgia; and Abilene, Texas. Shelby is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee. She graduated from Abilene Christian University in Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in sociology. Shelby has a passion for empowering local communities, church ministry, public speaking, strengthening women and mentoring young people.
