MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – After a week where much of Middle Georgia saw 3″ of rain or more, drier conditions return today and will last for the foreseeable future.
After being stuck in a wet weather pattern for the better part of this week, an area of low pressure has finally slid off to the northeast and is now dumping snow on much of the New England region leaving behind dry conditions associated with high pressure. That area of high pressure will slide towards our area over the next several days.
Temperatures this afternoon will finally get back into the upper 50’s with an abundance of sunshine. Overnight low temperatures will cool into the upper 30’s and low 40’s across much of the area. Patchy frost is possible with a light wind expected overnight.
Mild and Dry Weekend Ahead.
This weekend is going to be an absolutely perfect weather weekend! Temperatures will hang around the mid 60’s for much of the afternoon hours while overnight low temperatures will again be cool.
Mild and Dry Work Week Ahead.
Our great weekend weather is going to continue into the work week as temperatures stay on the mild side. A cold front will pass through our area on Monday bringing more clouds with it but low rain chances. The rest of the week looks dry as we head towards Thanksgiving.
