MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – After a marvelous weekend in Middle Georgia we will have the chance for an isolated shower this evening.
Just off to our west right now is a weak cold front that will bring clouds and a small chance of rain for our area this evening and into the overnight hours. This front is moisture deprived, but some of our models do suggest a few extremely isolated rain pockets that could develop with the frontal passage overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning. The greatest chance for rain will be in northwest Georgia.
This afternoon temperatures will be back in the mid-to-upper 60’s across Middle Georgia before they cool back into the low 50’s overnight with a few upper 40’s mixed in. Overall it is going to be a comfortable day across our area.
Dry Week Ahead.
At this time last week we were preparing for several inches of rainfall that would eventually drench Middle Georgia. The good news is that we are going to be dry through the most part of the week. After the slight chance of showers overnight, drier conditions return through Thanksgiving. A weather disturbance will be moving through our area on Friday and Saturday and will increase rain chances across the southeast.
