MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was arrested Tuesday after a November 3 hit-and-run sent a child to the hospital.
Bibb County deputies arrested 66-year-old Frances Jones after she was identified as the driver who left the scene after hitting 7-year-old Zmya Whitus.
Jones was arrested at her home just before 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. She’s charged with hit-and-run resulting in serious injury and serious injury by vehicle.
She’s in the Bibb County Jail on a bond of $2,950 on the hit-and-run charge. There is no bond on the serious injury by vehicle charge.
