Daybreak Interview – Thanksgiving Sides With Texas Roadhouse

MACON, Ga – Thanksgiving is almost here. If you’re stressed out about what kind of sides to make this year, Texas Roadhouse has got you covered.

Brittney Wesberry visited Daybreak to show us how to make a loaded sweet potato.

All you need are sweet potatoes. Heat them up at 350 degrees for about 35-45 minutes. While they’re cooking, make a caramel sauce for the potatoes. It’s just 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of honey and 4 tablespoons of butter. Whisk that together, do not boil it. Then put that and some marshmallows in your warm sweet potatoes and you’re done!

Amanda is originally from Brookfield, Connecticut, a small town in the western part of the state. She attended Western Connecticut State University and graduated in May 2014 with a B.A in Media Arts Production. From there she went on to get her master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University. When she's not working, she enjoys watching movies, traveling and spending quality time with her fiancé, family and friends.
