We have another nice day on the way for Friday with warm temperatures and a few more clouds on the way, but attention turns to the weekend and a slight risk of severe weather.
Through the day Saturday we will see our shower and storm chances increasing. Timing on Saturday is a question at the moment, but likely we would see the main threat during the afternoon and evening. Rain will be likely throughout the day across Georgia.
Main threats with this system are isolated tornadoes and damaging winds. We will, however also see the threat for over 2″ of rainfall through Monday.
By Sunday the cold front prompting all the storms will begin to move through Middle Georgia, but at the moment the storm threat looks like it will be very low on Sunday.
It will take a while for the front to move all the way through Middle Georgia, so keep the umbrella handy through Monday. After Monday, the cold air to our north will begin to move in and bring our temperatures back into the 50’s.
