WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – The 61st Annual Warner Robins Christmas Parade is canceled due to the threat of severe weather conditions on Saturday. This is according to the Robins Regional Chamber in partnership with the Warner Robins Police Department.
Via Facebook, Chamber Board Chairman Gary Garrard said, “We regret to be in a position where we even have to think about canceling this time-honored community tradition. However, the safety of all parade participants, as well as parade viewers, is our main priority.”
The Chamber will contact parade participants individually and send out additional information via email.
The Byron Christmas Parade is also canceled due to expected weather conditions.
The Byron Welcome Center along with the Byron Police Department decided to cancel this weekend’s parade in the best interest of all participants and spectators.
Organizers say since the parade route is on a state road, delaying or rescheduling the parade for later in the month is not an option.
The Dublin Exchange Club Christmas Parade is also canceled with no makeup date at this time according to Director of Public Relations for Dublin City Schools Jason Halcombe.
