WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Students, families, and communities are excited for the GHSA State Championship games.

Middle Georgia making its mark in the 2018 GHSA State Football Championships.

“For three different teams from Middle Georgia to be going to the state championship, it’s amazing. We’re ready to win three different championships,” Warner Robins High School senior Jordan Thomas said.

Dozens came to support Warner Robins High School as the team got on the bus to head to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

“This is unbelievable and the turn out now is great. We can’t wait to see the streets lined up with red and all the way to the Benz,” mother Stephanie Dixon said.

It’s the calm before the “score.”

“It’s Demon Country and it’s time to win a championship,” Thomas said.

Fans are hoping Warner Robins will come back with a title.

“This is number five. It will be the fifth golden ring and we can’t do Christmas without golden rings,” Dixon said.

On the other end of Warner Robins, Northside High painted Green Street, blue with Eagles pride.

“It’s great to be a Northside Eagle,” yelled mother Shirley Glover.

Parents like Glover can’t wait until the boys step foot under the lights.

“I’m rooting for everyone, but my son Johnathan Glover is number 55, he is playing his senior year and I’m so excited,” Glover said.

The huddle is real for Glover’s son and its been that way since he was a kid.

“He played with the middle school and this is his senior year so he’s been playing football since he was a little 5-year old,” Glover said.

It’s more than celebrating in the end-zone for some students.

“It’s an honor like it’s such an accomplishment for our football team and for the band. We get to perform our show that we worked so hard on, in the Mercedes-Benz field and it’s just an absolute honor,” Northside High junior Summer Williams said.
