This afternoon sheriff-elect Brad Freeman was sworn in at the Monroe County Courthouse. He says he has a few things he plans to do now that he is the new Sheriff.
“I want to add people to patrol. We have roughly the same number of patrol that we had in 1986 when I was first hired then we do in 2018. so I want to see us increase the number of patrolman. I also wanted to see us try to increase our use of technology by adding a crime scene unit, and it looks like we will also be able to do that as well,” says Freeman.
Freeman beat out Lawson Cary Bittick in a run-off election earlier this month.
