MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for firing a gun in the air and displaying disorderly conduct in east Macon on April 12th at 11 p.m.
Deputies say the incident happened when they patrolled New Clinton Road and Derrell Drive. That’s when they saw 36-year-old Craig Legrego Sanford of Macon shooting a gun into the air.
Authorities say that the deputy made Sanford drop the gun and placed him in handcuffs.
Authorities say deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Sanford.
Deputies say they arrested Sanford and took him to the Bibb County Jail. Authorities charged Sanford with Disorderly Conduct and Discharging a Firearm While Under the Influence.
Authorities released Sanford on a $1,300.00 bond on April 13th.
