MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For National Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Chef Scottie Johnson helping in the fight against diabetes and Parkinson’s disease through his “Blessed and Highly Flavored Cuisine” business.
Upon graduating from Helm’s College, Chef Johnson wanted to make a difference in how people can enjoy elegant meals and cuisines.
For this month, Chef Johnson shares ideas on healthier cooking for those who want to live a healthier lifestyle.
“There are different ways to prepare food that’s healthy besides frying food. I know we all love fried food, but food can taste a lot better being pan seared and a little vegetable oil or olive oil,” Johnson said.
Chef Scottie also offers a variety of cooking sessions from the comfort of your own home or private reservations for those who want to experience fine dining at home.
