MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County grand jurors voted to indict a man and a woman in the January 2019 death of 1-year-old King Henderson.
According to a Macon-Bibb DA news release, the indictment happened on May 14th.
The Bibb County Superior Court charged that 22-year-old Akym Malek Henderson and 20-year-old Jaimie Lynn Howard with murder in the second degree and cruelty to children in the second degree.
Bibb County Superior Court also charged Henderson with felony murder.
The indictment accused Henderson of causing “cruel and excessive physical and mental pain by inflicting non-accidental blunt force trauma” to the boy’s head.
The indictment also accused Howard of failing to intervene to prevent the injury.
