MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Throughout our lives, we hear mixed reviews when it comes to using essential oils to heal our bodies.

Willow Tree Vitamin and Herb Shop Owner Melody Faircloth has been in the essential oils business for 30 years.

She tells distributors that it is not safe to use essential oils. She says they are strong and the purest form of an herb.

In her experience, Faircloth has not had issues with customers who use essential oils. She suggests essential oils be used in moderation.

Faircloth says essential oils are a good way to heal through the skin, which bypasses the liver that normally would cause damage with other drugs.

“Essential oils have been around for a long time, and I trust its healing,” Faircloth said.
