Sandersville, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – According to a news release from Washington County Sheriff Thomas H. Smith, the Georgia State Patrol stopped a vehicle with drugs in Sandersville, Georgia.
Authorities say the incident happened on June 14th when 50-year-old Christopher Bianco failed to stay in his lane on Hwy 24.
Officers say that they searched the vehicle and found approximately 14 pounds of marijuana. Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Ocmulgee Drug Task Force, and Department of Corrections K-9 Unit arrested Bianco and confiscated the drugs.
Authorities charged him with Failure to Maintain Lane and Trafficking Marijuana. Additional charges are possible.
The drugs had a street value of over $50,000.00 according to the news release.
