MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – A warm and mostly dry afternoon is on the way, but rain chances will increase as we move towards the weekend.
High pressure is going to try to works its way into our region, and that will keep us mostly dry over the next few days. Temperatures this afternoon are going to top out in the low to middle 90’s under a mostly sunny sky before falling into the upper 60’s and lower 70’s in the overnight hours.
An isolated shower cannot be ruled out during the afternoon hours, but rain chances are running at 10% tomorrow. Temperatures will be back in the middle 90’s although we will all a little bit of cloud cover to the sky. Overnight temperatures will be running near normal for this time of year.
Rain chances will slightly increase as we head into the weekend with our best chance of rain right now coming on Saturday with afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be cooling off into the lower 90’s by the end of the week.
