Dublin City Schools cancels Friday classes for championship game

The Fighting Irish football team will play Brooks County at 1 p.m. in Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dublin City Schools is canceling classes on Friday due to the Fighting Irish football team heading to the GHSA AA State Championship game.

The team will play Brooks County at 1 p.m. in Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta.

“Our hope is that as many of our Dublin City family and community will join us in Atlanta to see our Fighting Irish play for their fifth state championship in school history,” said Superintendent Dr. Fred Williams.

Pre-sale tickets are for sell at the DHS Main Office from 7:30 a.m.-2:30p.m. Monday-Thursday.
