Man found dead in a hotel room in Macon, cause of death is unknown


MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Coroner’s Office is trying to figure out what happened to man that was found dead in a hotel room.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC that 36 year old Tremayne Lester was found unconscious by a passerby at the Macon Inn on Riverside Drive Friday morning. He was pronounced dead by the Bibb County Coroner’s office.

Jones said the cause of death is unknown and autopsy will be performed to determine what happened to Lester. Jones added that if the autopsy does not come back with an obvious answer, it will take 3 months or longer to get a cause of death through toxicology.
