Man dies after drowning in Lake Tobesofee at Claystone Park

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man is dead after drowning in Lake Tobesofkee in Macon Wednesday night.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 49 year old Christopher King was thrown off the boat he was on after it collided with another boat just before 10:30 p.m.

King was removed from the water and taken to Coliseum Northside Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478)751-7500.
