One teen arrested, one still wanted for attempting an armed robbery
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — One teenager is behind bars and Bibb County deputies are looking for another after they say the two attempted to rob a man at gunpoint Saturday.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a man was inside of the Sprint Gas station at 3198 Mercer University Drive in Macon when he noticed the teens watching him from outside the store. When he left the store, the man noticed that the two teens began to follow him in their car.
Deputies said one of the teens, who had a rifle, ran up to the man at the intersection with Eveline Drive and told him to, “give it up.” The man ran into the Advance Auto store at 3230 Mercer University Drive to get away from the teens and called deputies for help.
Through their investigation, deputies were able to identify both suspects. They arrested 17 year old Dai’Shawn Brown on Sunday. Brown was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony. He’s being held without bond at this time.
Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are still looking for 17 year old Tykis Andrews. A picture of him is below.
