ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler tested positive for COVID-19 after taking two tests on Friday morning.

Loeffler’s rapid results were negative, clearing her to attend public events. The senator then campaigned with Vice President Mike Pence and U.S. Sen. David Perdue. After which, her PCR (nasal swab) test results came back positive. Loeffler tested again on Sunday, and is awaiting test results.

A news release from Loeffler’s spokesperson says “She has no symptoms and she will continue to follow CDC guidelines by quarantining until retesting is conclusive and an update will be provided at that time.”
