Staying warm as rain chances increase heading into weekend

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT)- Temperatures will climb back into the 70’s this afternoon as we await a cold front.

Clouds will build in throughout the afternoon as a cold front moves in, but you can still expect a mostly sunny sky. High temperatures will be right back in the middle 70’s. A sprinkle or two is possible as the front moves through. Tonight, clouds will continue to build into the area as temperatures only fall into the upper 40’s and lower 50’s.

Scattered showers will make a return as we close out the work week. The cold front will transition to a stationary boundary and is expected to lift back north. Temperatures will fall back into the 60’s tomorrow afternoon for some.

I have a small rain chance in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday, but overall we look mostly dry. Temperatures will be in the upper 70’s to near 80° on both weekend days. Better rain chances return starting Monday.
