A solution to help bring people to Bowden Golf Course didn't go the way one commissioner hoped so Tuesday morning at a committee meeting. Macon-Bibb commissioner Mallory Jones presented a resolution that would allow Middle Georgia golfer, James Hickman to help out on the course.
"Coming from a rural community, that's what's going to be the door opener for them," said State Representative Patty Bentley. Students might be able to walk to the door, but getting through takes knowledge. "To really explore this world through education," said Bentley. "So education is very important."
